PUTTING the finishing touches on his work at Enst Church, Kent, is sculptor Hilary Stratton. The statue will mark the first home of British aviation in the 15th century village. It was here that in 1909 the Admiralty sent a small group of men who later became the nucleus of the Royal Naval Air Service.
