The African invasion of the United States coffee market, which has worried Latin American producers since the Second World War, may slacken its pace in the next market year, trade experts said today.

Their opinion was based on reports of smaller African exportable surplus and the abundance of supplies within the Western hemisphere. At the lower level of current coffee prices, the United 17 States market may be less attractive to the African coffees, which may be sent in large volume to the industrially recovered European countries.
