President Juan Peron's Government and the Roman Catholic Church today were believed to be working toward a settlement of their seven-month-long dispute, possibly by means of a negotiated Concordat.

There was no confirmation in Buenos Aires of Vatican City reports on the possibility of such negotiations. However, there were indications that the Peron Gov- ernment had adopted a conciliatory atti- tude toward the Church and would give Catholics full guarantees to exercise their faith.
