COLONY BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS

OLIVER'S SUPERB PLUCK AND BEESTON'S BRILLIANCE HIGHLIGHT SEMI-FINALS

By Our Boxing Reporter

The Hongkong Amateur Boxing Association will stage its first post- war Colony Championship finals at the Southern Playground this evening. It should be a packed house with not a vacant seat anywhere for after the thrilling semi-finals we saw at the Missions To Seamen last night it seems certain that we shall see some brilliant and spectacular tussles for the coveted Colony titles.

The show at the popular Missförin læst night had a spot of something for every- one. Tepping all else was the shnost unbelievable courage of Oliver, but close behind in the reckoning came the boxing brilliance of Beeston, the hurricane hitting of Hilton, the whirlwind wallops of Henry Wong, the jarring jolts of Jones....and the balanced blows of Blaney.
