America Accused Of Stimulating Korean Inflation

NON-ACCEPTANCE OF. HWAN BIDS

Seoul, Mar, 9. The South Korean Finance Minister, Mr Lee Jung Jai, in an official statement tonight, accused the United States of "stimulating inflation in Korca, making prices unstable and jeopardising gains already made in stabilising the Korean economy" by "arbitrarily" rejecting most of the bids submitted in the United Nations Command dollar auction.

Mr Lee's statement was issued shortly after the Director of FOA, Mr Harold Stassen, told a Press conference here that the United Nations Command would continue to sell aid dollars through regular auctions.

Mr Lee said on February 28 the United Nations Command rejected all but 20 blds out of 500 bids submittext and vold only about a half of the $2,000,- 000 offered for sale.
