A footballer's attitude to his team's luck in a Cup draw is very much like that of a boxer before a big fight: he is satisfied with the way things have turned out and is full of confidence. That must be my view of Preston's home draw with Sunderland,

But it would be foolish to pretend that this is where Preston just gallop into the fifth round. On paper Preston v. Sunderland is probably the best match of the fourth round but, apart from a draw with Wolves or one of the Manchester teams, there could have been no tougher proposition for North End at Deepdale.
