The U.S. Mutual Security Director, Mr Harold Stassen, flew here tonight for a major economic mecting to talk about convertibility and the possi bility of a vast new Allied Marshall Plan for Asia.

Mr Stassen's first official meeting will be with the other 13 OEEC (Organisation for European Economic Co-operation) Finance Ministers to, morrow at 10.30 a.m. to hear the report of a study group on convertibility.
