THREE MAGNIFICENT GOALS IN A GREAT KMB VICTORY

By 1. M. MacTAVISH

According to all the critics this was to be one of the great events of the soccer season. Instead it turned out to be a one-horse race. KMB inspired by two great goals in the first 16 minutes, gave their best display of the season while whatever hopes the soldiers had of making a game of it disappeared when their much vaunted middle line collapsed.

Higgins, Ashworth and Walters never suggested that they were capable of controlling the razor-sharp KMB forwards and as a line they gave their worse show- ing of the season.
