Getting The Goats
Out of
Serbia
Belgrade, Sept. 15.
All goats in Serbia are to be destroyed by the end of the year under a new law concerning the preservation of forests.
So much wood is being cut that Serbia, largest of Yugoslavia's six Republics, with 7,000,000 inhabitants, will at the present rate be bare of forests in 20 years. Goats are a major obstacle to reafforestation because they eat young shoots.

OPPORTUNITY AT ANNACIS Canadians Establishing Copper Price NEW YORK
Trading Estate
In The Fraser River
By NORMAN CRUMP
The Sunday Times City Editor
Until three years ago, Annacis Island, in the Fraser River, some fourteen miles south-east of Vancouver, consisted largely of swamp which provided excellent duck-shooting. Then the late Duke of Westminster bought it, and Grosvenor Estates are now developing it into what in Great Britain is known as a "trading estate."
The island comprises 1,200 acres, but initially only the eastern end is being developed. Here bulldozers are at work, the scrub is being cleared, and the ground is being levelled. A causeway is being built from Lulu Island, already connected with the mainland,, and this causeway will carry two lines of railway, a main road and a footpath.
On the island itself ali neces- Rea, end can draw an adequate
