The most remarkable game of golf ever played in Britain at Sandy Lodge Golf Course on August 7 when Wing-Commander "Laddies" Lucas, DSO, DFC, MP. went round blindfolded at every stroke.
His score was 87, only 15 above acratch. It included one magnificent birdie and seven bogeys. He lost one ball and his average drive was 230 yards.
