The British Empire and Commonwealth VARIETY MIGHLIGHTS Games were opened yesterday at Vancouver by Field-Marshal Lord Alexander, former Governor- General of Canada.
This evening at 7.45 listeners can hear a re- port on the Opening Ceremony by Rex Alston, who is in Vancouver to cover the Games for the BBC. Reports on the events, from Rex Alston,, can be heard at 10.15 every evening this week, except Monday.
