RUSSIA TO CONSIDER NEW RELATIONS WITH W. GERMANY

Tass Reports Request By Grotewohl

Moscow, June 13.

The Soviet Premier, Georgi Malenkov will "consider favourably" a move from anti-Com- munist West Germany to establish relations with the Soviet Union, including East-West trade, the news agency Tass said today.

Tass said Mr Malenkov promised such con- sideration "in so far as the establishment of econo- mic and cultural relations between the Soviet Union and West Germany corresponds to the mutual interests of both sides and would facilitate the settlements of the German problem and the strengthening of peace in Europe,”

Mr Malenkov made the statement on June 11 to the East German Premier, Herr Otto Grotewohl, who is visiting Moscow, Tass said.
