Singapore may not be able to send athletes to parti- cipate in the Ceylon Open Athletic Championships in September because of lack of funds,

Three Inter-School swim- ming records were shatter- ed when representatives from twelve schools clashed during the first day of the finals of the Sixth Annual swimming competition held in the Ritz Pool last night.

They were the primary school boys' 100 metres tree style, pri- mary school giris' 80 metres free style, and the middle school girls 100 metres back stroke.

Wang Siu-ming of San Kwong College broke the 100 metres record when he came in well ahead of the other competitors in the 11me of 62.4 secs.

The other two recorda were broken by J. Zewald or King George V School who Jinished In the time at 39 secs. for the 50 metres true style, and Chan Sin-yee of Now Method College who clocked min 28.8 secs, for the 100 metres back stroke.
