COMBINED CHINESE 3, ALL INDIA 1

CHINESE COME THROUGH WITH THREE GOALS IN THE LAST SIX MINUTES

By I. M. MacTAVISH

In a magnificent fighting finish at the Club Stadium yesterday the Combined Chinese changed what looked like certain defeat into gloriousK victory. The never-say-die spirit of the team was good to see and in a thrilling six minutes' scoring spree they once again drove home the old axiom that no game is won or lost until the final whistle has gone.

But just how near this came to being a very different story only those who saw the game can appreciate. All India, a single goal in the lead, were in command of the situation for a long time and I belleve that it was their own tactics, as much us the great fight back of the locals, that swung the pendulum of fortune against them.
