IN OPENING MATCHES OF BADMINTON TOURNEY

Favourites passed comfortably into the next round in the opening matches of the Colony Senior Open Badminton Championships at Club de Recreio and St. Teresa's Club yesterday. Of seven gatnes played, six ended in straight sets and one in a walk-uver.

The closest match of the evening turned out to be the Mixed Doubles encounter at Recreio between the second-seeded combination of Patrick Wong and Ulian Khoo and Craigengower's Bill Funk and Dlanu Yung.
