Is Still On
Washington, Feb. 26.
The Secretary of the Army, Mr Robert Stevens, and Sonator Joseph McCarthy, who have had an open feud and then made peace, are still feuding.
Mr Stevens' position has slightly improved since the extraordinary session at the White House yesterday after- noon and his "surrender" to Senator McCarthy is somewhat less commented upon in the lobbies of the Pentagon.

Economic Conditions In US Deteriorate Congressional Committee Issues Report
Washington, Feb. 26.
The Joint Congressional Economic Committee today reported deteri- orating economic conditions in the United States but was confident that the country was strong enough to avoid "a serious further recession" in 1954.
The Committee, in a report issued at the end of hearings on Presi- dent Eisenhower's message to Congress last month, noted that unemploy- ment had increased, Industrial production had fallen off and farm'income had shrunk.
It agreed with President Eisenhower, however, that the arsenal of wea- pons at the disposal of the Government for maintaining economic stability was formidable and added: "We must be prepared to use the weapons as need arisos".
