Professor Elisio Gualdi's Choral Group of 11.20 ELECTIONS FROM "CHILD
Hongkong was formed
some years ago so that his pupils could meet each other socially and, at the same time, have the pleasure of singing as a choir and studying part singing. Even now, every choir member is either a student of his or has studied music under the Professor in the past.

One of the Choral Group's major under-r takings was a performance in 1950 at the LeePavane & Tambouri Hath Theatre of "Cavalleria Rusticana", and the out-Y

of this encouraged them to produce "Traviata" the following year.
For their programme, which is at 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Group has chosen a varied selection of songs-ranging from Shakespeare's "Sigh No More, Ladies" to folk songs from Portugal, Mexico, and Sicily.
been Of these, several of the settings have specially arranged for choir by Professor Gualdi himself.
