New York, Jan. d. The recand oldest known manuscript of one of the world's most famous poems, "The Rubalyat of Omar Khayyam, was sold at a public auction for UB$4,500.
A private Pennsylvania collector was the successfui bidder.

The Parka-Bernet Galleries, Inc,, handled the auction. They said that the manuscript was dated 1810 AD and was bound In Persian eather of the lato 15th century.
An earlier manuscript dated 1207 AD is in the library of Cambridge University.
The third copy, dated 1288- 60 AD is in the Chontas Bestly Library at Dublin, Ireland,
