JonHenricks To Swim In Hongkong
The Australian swim- mer, Jon Henricks, has been invited to give ant exhibition in Hongkong at a gala to be arranged by the Hongkong Amateur Swimming As- sociation at the Victoria Recreation Club on Satur- day, August 8.
Henricks is 18 years of age and six feet tall. In his last year in high| school; he won the Aus tralian Championship for 880 Yards Free Style in 1952 and was also second in the 1,650 Yards Free Style.
In the past Australian season, Henricks decided to switch to sprint dis- tances and now holds the Australian record for 110 Yards Free Style in 67.2 seconds and for the 220 Yards Free Style "in 2 mins, 9.8 seca, both marks being accomplished in long course pools (50- 55 yards). He is also n backstroke swimmer.
