The Football Asssociation, gathered in all their dignity in London on June 12, moved through the annual meeting in 12 minutes dead.
If so of their footballers had moved a nimbly on the South American tour that trip would have been worth every one of the 28,000 miles.

Europe's athletes have started moving. There have been several minor international meetings on the Continent earlier this season, but the first major one took place on Wednesday, June 17, at Brussels when the star attraction was the matching of the Olympic runner-up in the 6,000 Metres, Alain-o-Kacha Mimoun, the Algerian, against Gaston Reiff of Belgium, Olympic Champion in this event in 1948, and Gordon Pirie, Britain's greatest ever shorter long distance runner.
RECREIO-CRAIGENGOWER MATCH WAS FOUGHT TO A THRILLING FINISH
By "TOUCHER”
Although practically all the League matches last Saturday resulted as anticipated; the match of the week between Recreio and Craigengower was fought to a close and thrilling finish.
For the second week in succession Recreio just managed to pull through and maintain their unbeaten record, this time by a 3-11⁄2 margin.

INTERESTING POINTS
One very interesting point, however, was brought out for discussion as a result of one of
the Triples matches played.
The situation was that one side was leading by three shots and the skip of that side had the last wood. When his turn came to bowl the last wood there was a He of two against him. In other words he had already won the match. Not reallsing, how- ever, that the game had already been won, he made a shot with the last wood..
