"LITTLE MO" SWEEPS HER FIRST OPPONENT OFF THE COURT IN 20 MINUTES

Maureen Connolly, 18-year-old Champion of four countries, swept to a whirlwind 6-0, 6-0 win over South African Dora Kilian when she began the defence of her title in the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships today.

Miss Killan, 18, of Johannesburg, was somewhat overawed by a Centre Court match against such a formidable opponent and it was all over in 20 minutes. Miss Connolly, who holds the Wimbledon, Australlan, American and French tilles, left the court almost as fresh as when she started.
