Lack Of Uniformity In Colonial Territories In Control Of Textiles
Manchester, June 18.
A report. in.today's Manchester Guardian emphasised that the full extent of the easing of restrictions on the imports of Japanese textiles in British Colonial territories is not yet known.
"Not all the "Colonial territories, it appears, have yet decided what easing of their restrictions on imports of Japanese goods they will intro- dure in response to the British Government's recommendation on that sub- ject," this paper, said.
The original restrictions varied considerably between one colony and another, and the relaxations which have so far been reported, also dis-- play a lack of uniformity.
