Financial Wrangle Keeps Canberra Locals Amused

Sydney, May 26.

The annual financial wrangle between the Commonwealth and States kept the Canberra locals amused last week but has done little to disturb existence in other capitals.

This meeting between Prime Minister and Treasurer and State Premiers is known as the Loan Council, which decides what money is to he raised during the next financial year and how it is going to split among the States.

The States, of course, go to Canberra with an impossible list at works and a more Impossible list of money which they say is wanted for them.
