Southern Rhodesians Vote Tomorrow On Federation

Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia, Apr. 8.

Southern Rhodesin's 49,000 voters will decide tomorrow whether to join in creating a new dominion of 175,000 Europeans and over 6,000,000 Africans.

If they vote "Yes" it is almost certain that the Legislative Councils of Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland will also agree to the controversial plan for Central African federation.

The referendum is expected to bring out one of the heaviest polis in recent years, the climax of months of debates, forums, letters to the newspapers and domestic argument.
