Xavier's performance ranks him as the serond fastest schoolboy- to Australia's Graham Gipson-in the British. Commonwealth and the fastest sprinter in Southeast Asia.

Among the several outstanding performers in the Army Championships at Boundary Street and the in- vitational Meet at Pokfulam yesterday was Sgt. N.R. Hughes of the Welch Regiment, Champion of Wales, who beat the Colony Javelin Throw record first with 167 feet 11 inches at Boundary Street and then with 171 feet 7 inches at Pokfulam.
