AFRICANS DRAW TEST SERIES
AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM SOUTH
FOR THE ENGLAND TOUR IS A STRONG ONE
Says PETER DITTON
London.
The nomination of 17 players to tour. England this summer under the captaincy of Lindsay Hassett comes at a time when thoughts of cricket are hidden beneath news of gales, snow and widespread flooding. Nonetheless, it is cheering to contemplate the list and think with pleasure of brighter days ahead.
After many rumours and counter-rumours on the ability of Miller and Lind- wall to make the tour, it is gratifying to see buth of them included for what will be their second visit to this country. The retirement of Sir Donald Bradman was an occasion for regret. The absence of Miller and Lindwall would have been a double blow that might have ruined the tour.
