Tomorrow's Chances At The Valley

By "RAPIER"

The Sixth Race Meeting of the new season under the auspices of the Hongkong Jockey Club will be run over. two consecutive Saturday afternoons, the first tomorrow and the second on December 13,

The first saddling bell to morrow will be rung at 1.00 p.m. and the First Race will be run at 1.30 p.m. sharp.

An attractive programme of nine events-with a malisfactory number of entries han been drawn up for tomorrow, the most promising races being the two for Class 4 ponies,

Mr A. Ostroumolt has now fully recovered from his illness and will be riding tomorrow.

Here are y estimates of the chances:

FIRST RACE Clarence andiego (Piest Section): ; From 134 Mlle Post,

Novice jockeys will be on view In this opening event and they will he called upon to handle Clasa 10 ponies. For its win in the Mallow Handicap at the Fourth Race Meeting over Boy six furlongs, Golden (Mr. T. B. Dou) has been penalise by 1 lbs..

but in view of its ane form at the moment I don't think this extra tra weight will step It from winning again.

Jennifer (Mr Lau Yeu-leung). which was second in this same racq, is the danger here, and if It can take the lead from the start the result is likely to be

reversed.

Home Sweet Home (Mr H. H. Chan) has been knocking at the dear of success for a long time, and Boylight (Mr Travert) is au- other pony to bear in mind as is capable of git ing the favourites a good night.

Easy Slam is the only danger, otherwise I cannot see anything, to touch it.

Queen Helen is good as an outsider.

FIFTH RACE Lyndhurst Handicap: Mile Post.

This is another sprint event and Concord (Mr Samarca) should be prominent at the finish.

In view of the opposition t should not be fully extended, except perhaps by Dig'empols (Mr Chuang).

Liberty Ship (Mr C. F. NE) should be placed and

Giddup (Mr H. C. Pih) may be-werth following as an outsider,

SIXTH RACE

A perusal of the entries in this race for Class 4 ponies leaves with me the impression that The Lionces (Mr Samaren) has a good opportunity of winning as it in splendid condition at the moment,
