The Special Political Committee to day decided, by 32 votes to seven, with 18. abstentions, to retain the question of Apartheid on the agenda for the next session of the Assembly.

It then voted on the resolution as a whole, adopting it by 35 votes in favour with two against (South Africa and Peru) and 22 abstentions.

Earlier the Committee rejected, by 45 votes to six, with eight abstentions, the South African claim that the United Nations was not competent to consider South Africa's policies of Apartheid (racial sogregation).
