The United States, and seven other countries were reliably reported today to have decided to accept India's compromise plan for settling the Korean prisoner-of-war deadlock, subject to two changes.

The question of what to do with Red prisoners, held by the UN, who say they don't want to go home has been holding up an armistice. The eight countries- Australia, Britain, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, also have decided to recommend that the the United States and Turkey -- Indian plan be given priority over all other Korean resolutions in the UN General Assembly.
