UPROAR IN UNESCO

Spain's admission today to membership of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) had a dramatic sequel in a Socialist body's withdrawal of its affiliation and in the resignation of a member of the Belgian delegation.

The proceedings admitting Spain to member- ship were accompanied by an uproar in the public gallery, where French anarchists hurled pamphlets attacking the vote for admission of Spain to the UN body.

The Boeing Airplane Company, which design- ed and manufactured thousands of the B-17 Flying Fortresses for World War II, is ready to start mass production of what officials describe as the world's more powerful jet bomber, the B-52 Strato- Fortress.
