The position I left you with last week would de light any top notch amateur .player: prospects would séem rosy for clearing the table. However, it is quite possible to slip up on couple of strokes, if a wrong colour la' taken after the first red has been potted.

I would play the red near to

PINK, NOT BLACK
ད་
The reason I decided to take the pink after the first red bad been potted was this; firstly, If I had planned to take the black instead I could not have been sure of getting an ideal angle for potting the other red afterwards, whereas from
any position
on the pink I could be sure of taking this last red too. Secondly, it was important in potting this last red to get such poston

on the blue that
could take the yellow next.
So
my cue-ball was Bent right across the table for the blue, me to obtain the cor- enabling rectangle for getting close to the yellow.
If I had screwed my white ball on to the left-hand side cushion might have used too
much speed and gone past the
middle pocket, or I might have played so softly, that the ball stopped short leaving, a dificult cut stroke on the blue, which would have added to the difficulty in reaching the yellow." FREE BALL?
