SPARKLING FOOTBALL AT SOOKUNPOO
A Feast Of Goals

The battle of the season's local soccer giants, Army and South China, produced yesterday all that was expected of it bright sparkling displays of a high order from both sides and a close tense struggle from beginning to end.
The biggest crowd yet to turn out this season watched this grand game from the stands and from the hilltops, and were rewarded with something more, a feast of no less than nine goals during the 70-minute session.

Hongkong more or less held their own at the Valley yesterday in a fairly even first half despite injuries and a scratch XV, but were literally played off their feet in the second half by an Oxford XV which had worked itself into the precision almost of a mass production line. : The Dark Blues won 24-3.
- Their close handling was a treat to watch but in- furiating to the Hongkong players, who seemed to be for long periods chasing shadows and never getting as much as a feel of the ball.
