Japanese Buyers Active At The Wool Sales

Intense activity of Japanese buyers at this season's wool sales has raised the speculation as to whether Japan intends to flood the world market with cheap woollen goods.

The Japanese are now back in force on the Australian wool market and are out-bidding all others for the types of wool that their factories require.

A statement allegedly made by the accused admitting having attacked the deceased with a chopper was read when the Wanchai flat murder trial resumed before the Puisne Judge, Mr Justice C: W. Reece, in the Criminal Sessions this morning. The accused is 67-year-old Lu Sing-kiu and he is alleged to have murdered his daughter-in-law, Tang Suet- ching, alias Tang Ha-ching, 27, at 121 Lockhart Road, first floor, on July 19.
