A Committee of the International Sugar Council will meet on September 22 to consider how to distribute the world's supply of sugar, particularly the surplus piling up in Cuba as a result of an abundant harvest.

Nineteen nations are entitled to send delegates to the Committee and nine nations and two United Nations agencies may send observers. Cuba will be represented by a team of negotiators.
