Beirut, Aug. 21.
The Lebanese Prime Minister, Sami el Sohl Bey, has called an emergency session of Parliament to ask for six months' special powers to introduce sweeping reforms demanded by public pressure.
The emergency session is fixed for next Thursday.
The Prime Minister, who has no majority in Parliament, will be forged to resign if he is refused the special power.
The Cabinet drew up a reform programme at meeting fast aight. It includes electomi re- form and early elections, a purge of the allegedly corrupt administration and reorganisa- tion of the judicial system.
Ito provides for the sale of State-owned land to fariners, construction of water and elec tricity projects and the starling of a health Insurance scherne,
The Prime Minister, in calling the emergency session, refused demands muude last week for hus resignation.

Folitical party leaders in the Lebanon are assessing the sweep- ing 20-point reform programme for the country proposed by the Cabinet.
