From Radio Hongkong
“All Aboard for the Fourteenth of July” takes Radio Hongkong listeners on a gay and breezy bus tour of Paris on the occasion of French Na- tional Day.
This programme which is made available by courtesy of Radio France Asie, Saigon is a pot-pourri of French music and English narrative touching on the romantic and colourful history of the great capital city. So you are invited to a free ride at 7 o'clock on Monday evening.
(For this week only, the programine “Portu- guese Half Hour", which usually comes at this time, will not be broadcast.)
In recent years the name of Christopher Fry has legged into fame in the English theatre, and "The Lgqy. Not for Burning” was hailed as perhaps the most remarkable of his poetic_comedies. 'In the words of the critic of the "Daily Telegraph", he has most of the qualities of a dramatist in a high degree. He can make enchanting patterns with words; he can create character; he can make the transition from gravity to ggiety without difficulty. In some ways he is like a Young Shaw, but with a poet's mind."
version of this 2.10 SONG The BBC fantastic tale of a young seluler of the fifteenth contury who is disgusted with life, and a ri who
is unjustly cockicmined as a witch, was broadcast over Ratio Hongkong in January of last Year The play is well worth 4 rebroadcast and can be heard on Wednesday at 8.15 p.m.
