The Philippines' barier trade agreement with Japan was ex-
tended without any changes which might have been found desirable on the part of the Philippines, due to lack of time. the Foreign Affairs Secretary, Jonquin M. Elizalde, sald today.
He added that the studies of the pact undertaken by various Government agencies were sull unfinished.
However, he *hoped that would be com- these studies pleted in time to be incorpora- ted in the new trade agreement if and when it is extended again.
Mr Elizalde pointed out that the Japanese Government had not had time to consider or
propose changes when tho agreement was extended for the second time up to September 30 this year.
