Next Thursday, June 5th, the peoples of the British Commonwealth of Nations celebrate the official birthday of their Queen the first of her reign.
:
›
Broadcasting will begin at 8. o'clock on Thurs-* day morning with music in honour of the occasion. At 9.20 a.m. Radio Hongkong will take listen- ers over to Kowloon for a commentary on the Queen's Birthday Parade which is scheduled to continue until half-past-ten.
The two commen-
tators, who are themselves members of the Ser- vices, will be situated at a vantage point close-by the dais where His Excellency the Governor, Sir Alexander Grantham, G.C.M.G., will be taking the salute from representative units of the Navy, the Army, the Air Force, and the Hongkong Defence Force.
