With a challenge from Canada, Australia and New Zealand the standard in the One Mile Run throughout the British Commonwealth of Nations is the highest in history. Seven have beaten the magical figure of 4 minutes 10 seconds and 20 have beaten 4:15.2.

The statistics for the past 12 months are dragged out to the Brst twenty to permit Hongkong athletes a chance to see how high their own standard is.
