OPERATION

Foki Aids Armed Robbers

Thieves, who were assisted in their escapade by a bank employee, were frustrated in an attempt last night to rob the Ho Cheng Bank, 10 Queen's Road Central, when they found themselves unable to drill a suf- ficiently large hole in a safe believed to have contained $450,000.

A Police report stated that the robbers had succeeded only in dent- ing the safe with their drilling operations. This caused the door of the safe to jam and they were unable to get at the money in the safe.

According to the Police, one of four fokis employed by the Bank and living on the premises admitted two men into the building about 8 o'clock last

night.
