FIRST TWO MAJOR UPSETS What's
OF THE COLONY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS
By "ARGONAUT"
The first two major upsets of the 1951-52 Colony Schoolboys" and Junior Badminton Championships occurred last night when the Cham- pionships continued at Club de Recrzio.
University's left-hander, Joseph Fox, eliminated fourth wonded K.-Y. Tam of Craigenower in the Singles quarter-final, and in the Junior Mixed Doubles second round, the second secdel pair of J. A. Soares and Mrs G. Sequeira went down sur prisingly to their Recreio clubmates, C. M. Quinn and Mrs M. Rezario.
Another surprise of the evening was the atraight-set triumph of the mother and son Mixed Doubles combination of K. Y. Tso and Mrs W. K. Tso over the more favoured University combination of L. H. Tan and Miss May Leong.
