Tokyo, Mar. 13.
Prime Minister Shigeru Yoshida has approved the shipment from Japan of 101,000 tons of steel products to the United Kingdom in fulfilment of the contract concluded by a United Kingdom pur- chasing mission in February, reliable sources said, Trade Minister Ryutaro Takahashi explained the reasons for the step in a meeting with the Premier yester- day, these sources said, and the Japanese leader approved Takahashi's proposal that the 101,000 tons be included in the 195,000 tons of steel products to be shipped to Sterling countries under the government's balanced Sterling trade plan.
These sources said that 60 per cent of the shipment would Japun during the April- leave June quarter and the remainder in successive months.
