OLYMPIC SLALOM CHAMPION
ARSENAL & PORTSMOUTH
FOR
THE CUP FINAL?
By PETER DITTON
Earlier this year in an article on the FA Cup I named three teams. I expected to do well in the competition. One of them, Blackpool, was knocked out in the third round by West Ham. But the remaining two, Arsenal and Portsmouth, are both safely through to Round Six.
They both have a good chance of winning their games, Arsenal at Luton and Portsmouth at home tu Newcastle and if they can avold each other in the semi-final draw I should not be surprised to see both reach Wembley.
Cup holders Newcastle ure certainly being made to fight for the right to retain the trophy. They had a difficult first round ganie with Aston Villa and after that were drawn away to League Champions Tottenham.
