The resumption of trading in crude rubber, futures found the nation in complete 'control of the supply of this commodity, which is in- dispensable in peace and war.
Tyre makers, according to their spokesman, are now fully equipped to turn out all needs of the defence effort and at the same time produce fully for civilian needs.
Mr H. E. Humphreys, President of the U.S. Rubber Company, said: "The nation has enough natural rubber in the stockpile to fight a five-year war, and Imports at the same time are at a high level.
