Commons Likely To Adjourn

London, Feb. 6.

The death of the King has suspended Parlia- ment's foreign affairs debate, which was to reach a climax tonight in a Labour motion censuring Mr Winston Churchill for "failing to give adequate expression" to British foreign policy while in Washington.

Official sources here are so far unable to in- dicate what will now happen to this debate.

These sources said that business in Parlia ment was likely to be suspended until the King's funeral.

Paris, Feb. 6.

A French Foreign Office spokesman said today that it was up to the West Ger- man Government to make the next move on the Saar, He denied Washington reports that France was about to issue n statement,

The question asked la political quarters was whether, in view of the

national mourning, the highly controversial foreign affairs debate might, by mutual consent of the parties, be lett over for a time.

Because of the King's death, Pallamentary business this week wil be confined largely to re- swearing in the 625 Members of the House of Commons in allegi- ance to the now Sovereign.

Following tributes to the dend Sovereign-possibly early next week-in adjournment of the House until Tuesday, February 18, is considered kely.

It may, therefore, be some weeks before the legislature gets back to the cut and thrust of ordinary politles.
