The Third Race Meeting of the year under the auspices of the Hongkong Jockey Cluli will be held tomorrow afternoon and, with the fine weather now 'pre- valling, should attract another large crowd of racing fans.
The first Saddling Bell will be rung at 1.30 p.m. with the first race starting at 2 p.m. sharp. There are eight-events to be contested and with the satisfactory entries received there should be keen competition among the various owners' `arid jockeys for honours.

RECEPTION TIME
There were two-social functions this week in honour of visiting teams at the Hongkong Hotel Roof Garden. The picture above was taken at the dinner recep- tion in honour of the Akademisk Boldklub, the football team from Denmark,"
In the group are, from the left. Mr Poul Petersen, Mr Eyolf Kleven, Mr Ebbe Schwartz, President of the Danish Football Association, the Hon. Sir Arthur Morse, President of the Hongkong Football Association, Dr Knud Lundberg, cap- tain of the visiting team, Mr. Aage Stṛebol and Mr Holger Seebach.
!
The dinner dance in honour of the visiting Macao Interport hockey teams saw a turnout in strength from the Ladies' Hockey League and the_girls left their sticks and colourful battle uniforms at home and came in all their party finery.
An attempt to group a complete forward line for a snap failed as the war- riors were in no mood for rivalry and here, all quite friendly, are Gremlins, Wid- gets and Victorians.

Says TOM FINNEY
Among Napoleon's legacies to the world was an observation that "good" captains are horn, not made." This statement, I think, can be applied to football, although the majority of spectators would probably not know who was skippering the sides if it were not for the toss. The captain's job is to be neither seen nor heard, yet his is one of the most important jobs, in football.
