John L. Lewis Has Solution To Britain's Problem
Washington, Jan. 30.
The United Mine Workers president, John L.. Lewis, says Britain could save its economy from collapse by producing another 100,000,000 tons of enal a year.
"And there is no reason why she should not do it," said the veteran Welsh-born labour leader in testimony published today.

Why we say A good stressing-down.
A "dressing-down" la a severe scolding or even a beating and is said to come from the process in the mining Industry which "dresses down" the ore by stamping to powder. But to "dress someone down" may also mean simply to put him 10 rights by taking the concell out of him.
