Halsingborg Idrottsforening (Athletic Association), founded on popularly known in Sweden as HIF, was June 2, 1907. It comes from Sweden's fifth biggest city. Halsingborg, three miles across the Strait from Denmark. Halsingborg has 420 members and runs 10 football teams. It has its own monthly publication, born in 1918.
