Judgment was handed down by the Senior Puisne Judge, Mr Justice Gould, at the Supreme Court this morning in a claim for the return of deposits, amounting to $164,466, paid in respect of contracts for the purchase of salted hog casings and hen albumen crystals which were allegedly not delivered.
Plaintiffs were Gibb, Livingston and Co., Ltd., of P. and O. Building, and their action was against Kuo-chu Hsieh, trading as the China Overseas Egg Packing Com pany, of 470A Reclamation Street, and L. Rondon and Co. Ltd., of French Bank Building.
Mr Justice Gould dismissed the action against Becond defendants and awarded costs against the antitled to plaintiffs, but held that plaintiffs were judgment against the first defendant for the amount claimed and coats.
