"Poppy Day" Fund

A grand charity boxing tournament in aid of the Earl Haig "Poppy Day" Fund will be held at the China Fleet Club on Monday, November 12.

A very attractive programme has been arranged, in which lending up-and-coming Chinese boxers will be seen in action against renowned and talented Army boxers.

Ten bouts in all have been billed, with Rigo Roliz star- sing in the main event against SAC Ross of the Royal Alr Force. Ross is a new arrival from Singapore and is reputed to be a scientific boxer with de- cisive wins to his credit.

Morales and Garcia will be pitted against each other in the bantamweight section, Both lads are in rigid training and are expected to go all out to score a knock-out.

Henry Wong, one of the most Outstanding Chinese boxers in the Colony, who made a name for himsel lo Shanghai and Macao, will have Trooper Key of the Army as his opponent.
